Crash to Desktop - Generating Game Log Reports

Hey OOTP,

Since the latest update, I'm unable to generate game log and history reports. Attempting to create these reports alone leads to an immediate crash to desktop. All other report generation works as expected. The reports settings were not changed between pre and post patch.

I can upload league files if necessary. This is a fictional league with 16 ML teams with AAA, AA, A affiliates.

Windows reports the following in the crash report:
Exception Code: c0000005
Exception Offset: 00296bbe
OS Version: 10.0.14393.2.0.0.256.48
Locale ID: 1033
Additional Information 1: 2beb
Additional Information 2: 2beba6fb4680d73a8c78ca7c24ccdb46

Yes, if you could upload league files, that would be great. It's possible there's something specific in your league causing the crash. Thanks,

Sorry, which specific reports are you talking about? We have a lot of different reports in game, so isolating down which specific reports are having issues would greatly help us track down what might be going on.

My report pathway is:

Game Settings -> Online League -> Create/upload reports

No Check on copy raw files
Report Level is Complete.
Uploads 7 days of news/messages/logs/boxscores
Check on Update picture
Check on Copy/Upload new and changed images

When I click on 'Create Reports':
If Game Logs or History at the top is checked, the report generation will fail with the noted windows error.
If those categories are unchecked, the reports generate fine (minus logs and reports).
If all are checked, the report generation will start, but fail (I assume when it gets to that portion of report generation.

Very hard to know. I was running with all reports on.

I have reduced it now to minimal reports and everything is fine. Not sure I looked at them enough anyway so will probably turn out to be a good thing.

my spanking new 18.7 install crashes every time I try to run the league history reports.

I can get the regular league html reports but when I choose history it crashes every single time.

have the logs if you want them

oh yeah...a mac running sierra 10.12.5.

And it crashes when generating Single A & Rookie League league history reports. I can get the other 3 levels to generate on their own.

We found an issue where re-arranging some code internally a check was missed which could cause a crash in the history for certain leagues. Apologies for the error, it will be fixed in the upcoming maintenance patch. I don't believe it affects any other reports, but for now I would recommend not running the history reports to avoid the crash.

I've noted the same issue when attempting to generate game logs reports in a similar way to the league history reports.

Does the fix also cover attempts at generating game logs?

I opened up the save and didn't have any problems with the game logs report. Have you tried just running that report alone and seeing if it was an issue?

I'll keep digging into it more to see if I can track it down, but didn't see any crash or error when I discovered the bug in the history reports.

In my tests, when I tried to generate a report for game logs for just the ML, I got the same crash to desktop as when I tried to generate a report for league history for just the ML.

Just curious if the fix affected both reports (as the problem seemed similar).

I would say it's unlikely, due to what the reports are. But I'm still not sure how you could have issues with the game logs report, as there's not much complicated with that, and certainly nothing with it has changed recently. Can you send a screenshot of your exact selections that do not include history reports, but do include game log reports, that still crashes? Might help track it down further to try the exact same set of reports you are using.
