Expansion Question
The Tampa Bay Devil Rays began play in 1998. But they participated in the 1996 and 1997 drafts and had minor league clubs prior to actually playing their first major league season.
I would like to do this in OOTP but am not sure how to go about it. How can I have an expansion team participate in the draft and have a team but not have any major league games scheduled? I want to expand the current major leagues to 32 teams in 2020 but have the 2 expansion teams participate in the 2018 and 2019 draft. They would need minor league teams in order to give the drafted players (and any minor league free agents they sign) a place to play. Is this something that can be done with OOTP? |

ootp simply does not model this well. you'll probably just have to be satisfied with having the AI fill your system with fictional players
