My point is that you'd have scouts doing scout work, not assistant coaches doing scout work.

But IRL coaches surely do comment players' performances so it's not a problem IMO.

Yeah, but they're not hired exclusively to do that, which is what such a system will bring. You'll want to maximize in as many areas as possible. Get the best possible assistant goalie coach, d coach, fw coach, prospects etc...and the best possible "report on your team"-assistant.

The safest answer is yes.

Strictly-speaking the saved game will work with the new version. However, it won't benefit from bug fixes included with the new version and so you might find your saved game eventually crashes.

I don't think this will bring hiring the coaches exclusively to do that. They will keep taking care of practices, of managing lineup during the games and they will also provide their opinion on how players played. I don't see a problem there, sorry.

When did I say this? I must be missing something... Or do you mean that players will pick coaches not only by their coaching but also scouting abilities? Isn't this how it should work? Of course I would prefer a coach who's a great coach (can get players better) and also can read the game and tell who's good.

What does quick fix mean at OOTP?

I thought there would be a fast (smaller) next patch, one patch between the last patch and the next major patch that includes the new game engine script.

It's already 21 days ( 3 weeks ) after the last patch has been released and because major patches take up to 3 months of development en testing I was just curious how much time it would take to release a small patch for this game.

Just asking because there is so little time left, before you know we can already pre-order for version 2.0 - The NHL season will be over and it's summer time when everybody walks away from hockey until september.
