You were wrong.

I happened to have the Silver Rickey on my collection team before the missions started, so I was happy with that. His high costs are fair given the Diamond pack as a reward. From that pack I got Mookie Betts... so was a little disappointed, but I guess he's not bad value as far as LIVE Diamonds go.

Yeah which is why I only went for the mission because I had the key Rickey card. The LIVE card costs were negligible, and the Omar Moreno and Lou Brock cost about 2,500 - 3,000 PP all-in for the both of them if I remember right. So if you buy Rickey for ~13,000 PP you can definitely complete this one for under 20,000 PP. Not saying I would have done it starting without Rickey, but that I can understand the logic.

If at first your Chien-Ming Wang doesn't sell for 19,999 PP, then try try again ?? Someone is persistent for sure. I certainly hope it doesn't sell for that price, because then it gives other...erm...merchants the idea to keep snowballing the price upward.
I would like to get the Hong-Chih Kuo mission done before OOTP 21 comes out...

Yeah, there's someone hanging out in White Sox land posting a bunch of ridiculous ones that all seem to end around the same time. Not even looking at what's out there already, just hitting and hoping.
For example, posted an 89 Ventura with a BIN of 50,000 about 25 minutes after someone else posted the same card with a BIN of 8,000. I wonder which one I'm going to buy? Hint: neither.

It’s certainly optimistic pricing things like that, but then they’re the sellers cards to price as they wish
The Auction House has certainly had a big increase in activity since collections came out, taking way longer to browse

And then you have Rio who spent a fortune trying to buy and market himself on the AH. Fortunately for us he didn't start a trend

Looks like the same guy has posted Chien-Ming Wang for 19,999 PP once again. For the 3rd/4th (?) time. Good to see someone has also posted one for 14,999, probably hoping it looks like a bargain alongside the slightly more laughably priced one. Although both asks are insane and I hope it's just a giant waste of time on the seller's part!

Presented for your amusement...
an unproductive Bronze card with a BIN of 10,000. This poorly rated and even more poorly performing (in the experience of myself and some associates) card is offered up to anyone with 10K points he just doesn't need...
BUT WAIT!!! THERE'S MORE!!!! He's part of the Submariners Mission, which can net you a free standard pack!!! (retail value 1,000 points) Yes, it can all be yours...with free shipping and handling, and possibly some Ginsu knives and a moldy Shaky Weight, for ONLY TEN THOUSAND POINTS!!! Not available in all states. Fair Warning: this is NOT my auction.

The 1986 Gary Carter that was up for 3k for weeks and weeks is no longer on the auction house.
There is now a 1986 Gary Carter up that costs 7k.

I like to list players so that I receive an even amount after the sale. 3333 to get 3000 after tax for example.
Yesterday I listed a juan soto for 14,444 and instead of using buy it now someone bid the opening 14,443 and got it for that. well played sir. |

Onnnnnnnnnnn sale this week for a limited time only
is this HIGH QUALITY Rickey Henderson card for a mere $30,000. Mind you, this is not the high quality 90+ Henderson, no! This is the Silver level Henderson, selling at an incredible premium...
BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!!! I've heard a rumor that for an additional $29.95, the seller will include an authentic....CHIA PET***! That's right, you could possibly be the proud owner of one of the great marketing scams of the 70's and 80's—HIGHLY appropriate since this card you're getting jacked on is only rated in the 70s. For anyone who want it...BUY IT NOW!!! If you have a brain, wait patiently as I believe the price will come down. If this is your card, thanks...you made us all laugh. (For Westheim). Void where prohibited. This works best if you imagine it being spoken by Billy Bates or Don Pardo. ***Chia Pet may or may not be included at seller's discretion...and while supplies last. Free Shipping and Handling may be available.
