Nations.txt help (ethnicities)

Okay, a little help here.

I'm busy editing the nations file to have all white players in my league (don't start with the racist comments please, that is just the way I want my league to be). Every country is ended with 0,0,1000,0,0. From what I understand (african,asian,caucasian,east_indian,hispanic), that means every single player should be Caucasian. Well, that's not happening. I'm probably getting 10-15%, maybe as much as 20% African-Americans in my database.

What am I doing wrong? Is this a bug where these aren't importing right?

Wouldn't you also have to change the nations file as well as the ethnicities file ? I did the same but made a totally new nation file as well, below is how the ethnicities files looked and the nations file looked that I made.

I changed the Irish, Scottish, UK and US Historical to 0,0,0,1000,0

229,Skelphland,Skelphland,SKE,Skelphian,3,5,39,50, 20,30,18,10,16,10,0,0,1000,0,0,

Oh....I didn't even LOOK at the ethnicities file....so the ethnicities file is still overriding the nations file?

I always just thought if you changed the nations to be 100% Caucasian, it wouldn't matter.

Yeah, it looks like that's all I had to do....edit Ethnicities.txt as well!

I don't believe that the nations.txt breakdown is used any longer. It basically goes:
NATION

|_ EACH ETHNICITY FOR THE NATION
|_ EACH ETHNICITY'S RACIAL BREAKDOWN

So you essentially have to control the FaceGen stuff at that third level. The fields in nations.txt are probably legacy fields from past versions of OOTP. It's better at the ethnicities level since you can control the nameset that goes with the picture. If you did it at the nation level, you couldn't prevent Junichi Tanaka from having an African FaceGen picture.

Yeah, I must have still been in the mentality of previous versions.

No wonder why it stumped me so much - I wasn't even in the right file! And yeah, I don't think the nations.txt breakdown is used, because I could do anything to it and it wouldn't affect anything with the pictures.
