Thanks!
Here's a tiny Gideon/Rangers image. According to my records I found it 12 years ago on eBay.

Looking for 60's Cardinal farmhands

I'm looking for photo of Cards '68 number one draft pick Butch Hairston. Injuries it appears limited him to 280 games over a 5 year minor league career. Never made it out of A ball. I found his obituary and a photo of Hairston in later years. It seems his many academic accomplishments and career accomplishments made his baseball life a footnote.

Also I am searching for one of my favorite almost Cardinals , OF Rogers Robinson. I love the name and I am intrigued by his minor league stats.A .298 hitter with power and speed. Did he not have not talent to play at the upper levels or did the Cardinals never give him enough AAA at bats to prove himself? As a lifelong Cardinals fan I wish he at least could have had a cup of coffee. If I may ask for one more possibility: 3B Quique Rivera who unlike Coco Laboy , never got a look.

If only he hadn't gotten hurt

Terry Francona had a sweet swing and was leading the league in hitting with the Expos in '84. Tito Francona hit .363 in '59 but fell short in the number of at bats for a batting title. Tito had some power but his son was your classic singles hitter. They finished there careers at .272 and .274 respectively. Is this pic from the 1991 Reds spring training?

Artificial turf tells you it was Riverfromt. He was acquired at the end of spring training, 1987, and was gone in November. It can only be '87 season.
