Post Game stalling in Free Agent period

I've been having a few problems when getting to the free agent mode in OOTP3.2

1. I cannot make offers to any players, as my team is deemed as having insufficient funds to offer, despite having $10 mil in cash. In fact, I can make no manual offers from any teams in the game, with the same error message popping up. When, however, I was able to allow the computer to make offers, these same teams were able to make offers to free agents.

2. I have only once been able to have the computer generate offers. The game freezes each time I hit "computer offers."

Any help would be much appreciated..

We need more info, how much RAM and free HD space do you have? What kind of league is it? Are you certain that the teams are all on the proper ownership settings? I have never heard of any problem even close to this is why I ask.

Where is this money in your financials break down.... is there a chance that this is sitting in cash for extensions and not the generally available contract cash?

Do you have all relevant folders in the league directory? (BOX, EXPIMP, LOGOS, NEWS)?

As always all the details you can provide about the league are very helpful.

Sorry for the lack of info in the initial message.
I don't currently have access to the computer the game is running on at the moment, but should in the evening.

I have 32M of RAM, am unsure about the amount of free disk space I have, but am fairly certain it isn't too far from capacity.
The problems occur in a career league, at the conclusion of its first season.
I'm unable to check for the files you mentioned in your reply at this time.

I believe all the teams are on their proper ownership settings, but if you could clarify what you mean by proper ownership settings, it would be appreciated.

From the additional info you've given it is quite possible that it could be the RAM issue as 32 meg really isn't much at all and RAM is VERY cheap nowdays. It could also be the HD issue as well if you are close to capacity.

As far as the non-bidding issues it could be what Scott is talking about where the $$ is allocated.

I've taken a closer look at the leage I'm running, and the computer I'm running it on.

I presently have 212 MB of free disk space, and have 64 m of RAM, which to me, seems like it should be sufficient.

All of the relevant league folders are in the league file.

While i have $10 mil in cash, the financial report states i have $0 for both extensions and free agents.

Financial mode is enabled...

That is an extremely small amount of free disk space, you should try to clear some hard drive space, run defrag and try the game again.

This is your problem.... if you have $0 available for both extensions and free agents (as you seem to have) then you won't be allowed to place any bids.

I've cleared the hard drive, ran the defrag and with 1.75 GB of free disk space the same problem happens.

How does one allocate cash to be spent on free agents and extension??

This part is done by the game although I do believe you can edit it... as I haven't been using finances recently in my league I'm probably not the best person to teach you the nuances of the OOTP financial model.

I'm new to the game, and am not sure of the nuances myself. I'll play around with it and see what I come up with. Any additional help from anyone would be most helpful.

Thanks to everyone who has helped me thus far!

I'm not sure of the precise formula to determine the available money for Free Agents and Extensions, but i believe it is something like:

FreeAgents Money = Total Revenue + Cash - Current Payroll

Money for Extension = Total Revenue + Cash - Next Year's Current Payroll

I hope that helps somewhat
