Questions
I have a career going with the MLB startup with all minor leagues. I know nothing about scheduling or schedules however. If I want to move into the future with realistic scheduling, do I need to download any files and put them in the schedule file, or is what I need already there and available? I just want the game to schedule games realistically....they don’t have to be the exact replica of say the 2018 or into the future.

You can continue to use the 2017 schedule as you go into the future. That's the default. The game will scramble the teams so that you don't get the same match-ups year after year, but you might still end up with some odd results because the game doesn't know things like interleague rivalry matchups or geography.
There are plenty of alternative schedules available that can be used in place of the historical schedules. Note, though, that they probably won't load automatically - you'll have to load them yourself before the start of spring training. |

GMO left a great set of 15/15 interleague MLB schedules that rotate through multiple matchups and go for 30 season. If you place all 30 in the schedules folder OOTP will load them consecutively as long as you get the start date right.
