I like to mix it up a little too. Some stadiums I'll go deeper some shorter. This way I never really know where a location is supposed to be.

I find that you want to put the deep infield positions in the short outfield because a lot of play by play has outfielders playing balls that are hit to deep infield positions.

Also I put all of the wall locations off of the screen because I have that information on my diagrams.

Keep in mind that the wall locations are not actually used in the play-by-play as locations where the ball is hit to. The wall locations are nothing more than where the wall distance numbers will show up.
