We have been playing great. 14-3 in June. On a 6 game winning streak after having a 12 game winning streak. Finally beat Ewok Village not once, but twice. DH tomorrow, so that will be tough to win both and possibly move into 1st place. Enos Watts came off teh DL and was sent to AAA Middleton ona rehab assignment. I want him to get 12-15 innings at AAA. He is on a pitch count for now of 75 pitches.
We retired the numbers of CF Luke Skywalker, #27, 2B Han Solo #3, 3B Lando Calrissian #5, SP Kyp Durron #35 & SP Talon Karrde #90 before Saturdays game. Also added a Obelisk of Fame outside of Gate B. On that obelisk is also the name of former owner Senator Garm Bel Iblis who passed away last season.

5-2 this week. Hedges continues to improve. OBP is around .310 now. 40 Watts should rejoin the team after tomorrow's DH. Trying to figure out what to do with Bill Moriarty & David Kent. Both are out of option years. Moriarty was placed on Waivers several days ago and has cleared. I was hoping someone would claim him. I will most likely DFA Moriarty and demote Kent to the pen. Watts will go back to his #2 slot in the rotation and will start the 1st game vs Anderson. Wil Duggleby has back spasms and is DtD. Lattman said he will sit him in the 1st game on Sunday and DH him in the 2nd.
Did I forget to mention that we are in a 3 way tie for 1st place? It's great being at the top. Gonna be a long seasons till. These 2 teams in Marlboro and Ewok Village are tough.

John Williams threw a 1 hitter vs Ewok Village. He gave up his hit in the 1st then shut them down. Gioskar had a great game. I have to make room for him soon. He is learning how to play other IF spots to be more versatile.

Tigger Johnson update: Tigger came out of his Jedi hibernation trance yesterday and is active and alert. Master Cilghal plans on moving him to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant to begin his rehabilitation when he finishes healing. Brett is expected to rejoin Middleton later this week. Great news. He will still have a very tough road in front of him and even blind can become a great Jedi.

In other news. The NYG Giants released Wilbur Duggleby on Sunday. The Endor City Generals of the EFL signed him to a 2 yr deal. Contract terms were not disclosed. He will probably be a big part of the team since the Generals QB is Tim Tebow.

Corvair is beginning to pull away from Pine Tree. Brandywine continues to amaze in the NL West. American League has some very close races.

No one is pulling away in MLB.

This July schedule is deadly. Gonna use a 5 man rotation and then some. Going to carry 12 pitchers, just have to figure out who to option to AAA. It will most likely be Jose Romero as he was placed on waivers 2 weeks ago. I have not decided if I will recall Bill Moriarty or some other AAA pitcher.

Great trade for Stryper. LF Purple Rain (Lou Brock) is a great lead off hitter. Still has yet to get to his full potential. STY needed a lead guy and a LF.

Ackerman is the only 300 saves closer. He surpassed Bill Hilles record of 294. James W. Getty is #2 active at 260.

4 -0 to start the month. Moose Burns has been great the last 7 games. Duggleby suffered a mild hamstring strain and is DtD for 5 days.

Potentially winning the AL East became al ot easier with Ewok Village losing Screwball for the season. They still have 3 good SP in Cocoa, Auld Land Syne & Paulino but Screwball is their ace.

Cubs gave up on Starlin Castro. Not sure if they still have Baez.

I have never been so upset about how many of my players got snubbed. I can see the logic as why but I am still upset.
Williams, Willis & Duggleby all made it. Fisch 10-2 3.53 & Garces 10-3 3.36 should have made it. Pablo Escalante has 18 sv 25 K should have made it.
Burns .314 .350 16 58 should have made it. Holloman and Takahashi should have been considered. Lattman also but he has only caught 3 games and I think we are a playing in an NL park, no DH.

Willowbrook surprised us this week splitting the series. They dont look that good. Kronfield was solid as was LHP Abscott Nunan. DH tomorrow then the ASG.

Caps are trying to put some distance between them and Marlboro. AL west and NL east are still tight races. NL west is over for now despite all the injuries Brandywine has.

Oakland has 4 players, Gio Gonzalez, Sean Doolittle, Jack Parkman & Kevin France. Sterling Thomas made his 1st all star game. Rookie Rush Booroojian (Hornsby) made it to the roster.
Rookie Del Castro made the roster.

Solid week for the team. Destroyed Highland a few days ago with Duggleby hitting for the cycle and 5 hits. Considering demoting Shay or Valley and bringing up Amaya to see what he can do. Neither Shay nor Valley are very good at 3B. Amaya,while mostly a 2B can also play some 3B and SS. He is currently the AAA 3B. I may even bring up Decalso, but will probably just wait until September for that. Get to see a potential playoff preview with Springfield this week.
