Perfecto imperfectly noted
I love this game, but you have to wonder sometimes. I just played the 9-17 Cubs-Reds game in my replay of the 1954 season in which Cubs lefty Paul Minner pitched a perfect game: 27 up, 27 down--no runs, hits, walks, hit batsmen, errors! But the Game Recap merely congratulated him on his no-hitter. No-hitters are relatively common in MLB, there being roughly 2-4 every season. Perfectos? Not so much.
Oh, and Minner hit a solo homer in his first AB in the Cubs 7-0 victory. But what part of a perfect game doesn't the AI (or whatever) understand? What's so hard about detecting that? I'm guess I'm more amused than annoyed. Anyone else encounter such a head-scratcher?: |

If you go into league history under accomplishments, no-hitters (sorry, not in front of game right now to screenshot any of this), is there a notation there indicating that this is a perfect game?
Just curious if this was just a failing of the game recap or if the program really did not recognize this as a perfect game.

But I was asking if it was for the OP in this case.

I recently had a perfect game, but the team used three pitchers so it wasn't even mentioned as a no hitter in the recap.

Yes, the pitcher/game is listed under Accomplishments, but after the player name, date, etc. it merely says: 3K, 0BB and 9IP versus Cincinnati while playing for Chicago. Perfect game never mentioned, nor is there a category for it--just for no-hitters. Looks like another item for the "bug fixes," rare though these accomplishments are. Thanks for your input.

What Palaaemon and I are talking about looks like this: If you aren't seeing this then something went wrong or something in this game led the program to believe that it wasn't in fact a Perfect Game.

I'd suggest attaching the box score and game logs from the game. We should rarely miss noting a perfect game so must be something that prevented it.

It's also possible that the OP thought it was a perfect game when it really wasn't.
