1953 Topps v1.0 tempate for OOTP11

Instructions
1. Navigate to:

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 11\bb_cards (Win7/Vista)
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 11\bb_cards (WinXP)

2. Extract all folders within zip to bb_cards.

This will add the new templates to the default folder - (example: 1953 Topps).
BUT YOU WILL STILL NEED TO EXTRACT THE DESIRED VERSION

templates - Original

This contains the original templates that shipped with OOTP11.

templates - <cardname>

This contains backup files of the new template (example: templates - 1953 Topps v1.0).

3. EXTRACT THE DESIRED VERSION to the bb_cards directory. The directories are named so as to be self explanatory.

use_1953_Topps_as_default_template
use_1953_Topps_for_1950s_decade
use_1953_Topps_for_1953

• If you wish to use these cards only for 1953, extract: use_1953_Topps_for_1953_only
• If you wish to use these cards all of the 1950s where another template is not found, extract: use_1953_Topps_for_1950s_decade
• If you wish to use these cards all of the 1950s where another template is not found and as your default card when a template isn't found for any other year or decade, extract: use_1953_Topps_for_1950s_decade AND use_1953_Topps_as_default_template
• If this is your only card template: use_1953_Topps_as_default_template

4. Be certain to overwrite the files in your templates directory!

Instructions
1. After downloading the file, it should automatically unzip into a folder with the same name in your Downloads folder.

2. Open the folder and copy (or drag) all of its contents to the folder bb_cards. Hit yes to replace the existing templates folder with the new one.

With a default install of OOTP, the bb_cards folder should be at:

\<username>\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 11\bb_cards

Does this automatically lower the font size of the player name on the front if the name is longer?

Yep, there is a parameter to shrink the text if it gets too large so that it fits in the allotted area.

I saw your other post and think you mean stats and not states right (there is no token for the state the player was born in)? According to your post in the Baseball card mod thread you are using the original version of ootp 11. You will need to update the game, there have been tokens added in a couple of the updates that this card and others use.

old thread, but I reached 1953 in my game and noticed these cards needed a little work. While the template was a great start, they were missing some major details on the back and the front colors were a bit off.

This is my own version of the card (made up company) but they can be used for the Topps version as well (have photoshop files). Let me know if anyone is interested. I have 10 different "dugout Quiz" images that load at random.

sorry guys, forgot about this (other projects going on)

don't have time right now to put in original Topps form, but attached are 4 zip files.

first 3 are all the .png images and my xml for awards, this is using my "Mako studios" label though. I have also attached a photoshop file for those that can use it, you can open that file and easily edit the card however you see fit, just change the text at bottom to whatever you want and remove shark and WBL logos...
