Advanced Custom Season Setup is killing me...

Okay, this is the last thread from me in a while.

All my issues seem to come from the custom season setup. I have no idea what I am doing wrong, but several things are not working as expected.

My main issue currently is: I activate 40-man-roster, Extended roster, etc and all that in the setup but the game just ignores it. After it loads there are no such rosters at all:

i am on the 4th version of my EBL vs MLB league since OOTP 11. I wanted to scream trying to set it up properly back on 11. OOTP has a steep learning curve when trying to do custom leagues when you are not used to them.
Make frequent backups.

I found the best way is to use the wizard upto step 5 (when you choose team). THEN go into advanced mode. Most settings should be correct now and you only need to adjust the specific settings you need.

For me that's basically slightly reduced player aging, scouting reactivated for historical league (not using historical stats - more fun and unexpected things can happen) and activating wildcards for the 80ies seasons.

Now my league seems to be setup correctly. Yet I have one strange issue: When I go via Manager -> Player Search & Shortlist -> Player Search, then EVERY player exists twice, in identical form.

However, in every other screen players only exist once. That Includes League -> Transactions -> Find A Player -> MLB Player List

Im not even sure if this matters or not but would like to know what causes it.

The reason for this seems to be that two Major Leagues are generated. I have no idea why or how to prevent it. It does that now everytime I use the historical advanced setup. Is there a bug?

Cause located. Not sure if bug or feature:

If you load a template in the advanced season setup, this means the template for one *league* and it will put one *additional* MLB in the setup. You now have two Major Leagues but both will have the settings from the template (which is why i would consider it a bug). You will need to delete one Major League before proceeding.

Also: Templates are not very useful as they *only* store the "Game Settings" on the left side. Everything else is forgotten and needs to be setup manually again.

Now my season is setup *almost* correctly. For some weird reason I have some staff double now (lol). I have no idea why. No players are double. I should maybe contact support.
