Roster question

Does the game update the rosters after every new update? I still play with the original rosters from the release of the game. Am I doing something wrong. Your help is appreciated. Thanks

1) No, only because there is not a roster rewrite with each update.
2) Some patches have roster updates but they usually do not involve trades or roster moves. Just correcting inaccuracies and tweeking ratings.
3) You have to start a new MLB game to get the updated rosters.
