OOTP 25 MLB Higher Realism Quickstart
Hello, I wanted to share a quickstart that I created which brings a number of fixes to the default MLB start.
Download Link (v3, Google Drive): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LRv...ew?usp=sharing Here's what this brings: - Fixed the DSL league to accept players from the proper nations - Fixed the DSL to have the correct teams in each division - Fixed the dimensions, wall height, and weather of all minor league stadiums -> A large percentage of MiLB-level stadiums had incorrect dimensions, which have been fixed based on available data including, in order of preference: official measurements, Google Earth measurements, and field photos - Many DSL teams were sharing stadiums when they should not be. All DSL teams now have their correct stadium. - Retractable roof stadiums are now set to 0% chance of rain, to simulate closing the roof - Recalced park factors for all stadiums using the spreadsheet by Joelman111 -> These calcs consider park dimensions, weather, elevation, and turf type in order to be more realistic -> As one key example, home runs will actually fly out of Denver now! - Updated ballpark names to be accurate as of the current season - Minor tweaks to trade valuation, aging, and TCR numbers (these can be changed after loading the quicksave from Game Settings, if desired) Not included currently are 3D park models for minor leagues. I would have loved to make this as a mod rather than a quicksave, but couldn't figure out how. If anyone knows, let me know, because I think that would be the preferable way to set this up. In the meantime, after starting a new save you can always run the game function to update player ratings based on real life stats, if that's something that is important to you. I also would welcome the devs to integrate these changes into the game itself. --- Changelog: v3 (2024-03-26): Update A-level leagues to the "Short Season A" league level. This should help with AI promotion and demotion logic as it now sees A+ as higher than A, instead of at the same level. (Despite the naming, this does not affect the schedules or number of games.) v2 (2024-03-24): Updated with transactions as of March 18, which is the start date in the save. This includes the Blake Snell signing. Last edited by ExpedientFalcon; 03-26-2024 at 10:58 AM. |

I did my own, may be best to just consolidate all the changes into one. Attached my game file in case you need it.
