The Ohio City Chefs have been sent home. I entered thinking this was a cooking competition for Pedro and my bacon souffle didn't rise, so all is good

A whale won the tourney. Should be an eye opener the way low cap tourneys have been basically exploited by big time players. Hopefully it will lead to more restrictive tourneys which allow lower level players to compete which was probably the whole point of low cap tourneys to begin with. |

I choose to think it involved a high stakes game of cat and mouse between Sean Connery and Alec Baldwin in some sort of submarine.

Really, you are going to complain about whales winning tournaments steamrollers???? So what if we decided to put money into a game to make our teams good. Same as any hobby that people invest money into.
Take a look at the team that took me to 5 games in the finals. They didn't have a "whale" team and they almost won the entire thing. Cap tournaments are the most fair way for any player. I've put more preparation into thinking of teams for salary cap tournaments than most have spent playing this game. Low cap tournaments are not being exploited by whale players. How many whales were even in the final 8???

Congrats bud! well done KSharp!
I too put quite some time in 1650, I'm very happy with my team, but I'm going to need a 5th starter next time.... and some luck.. dropped games vs low low pitchers. Tournaments with such prizes are an incredible reason for non whales team to play in equal grounds.

Yeah, the low cap is certainly way more wide open than if it were an actual open tournament. Congrats on the win!
And I mean, people can complain about having a whale win it all, but to me, I'm the most upset in that our strategies didn't really differ by a ton, yet you won and I didn't I mean, yeah, obviously your Maddux/Walt/Cy was better than my Walsh/Maddux/Satch, and then you basically ran Anson/Boggs/Yelich, with you running 6 high 70s/low 80s guys (including Bullet Joe), and I opted for Ruth/Trout/POTM Bellinger, plus Boggs87 and some bronze cards instead. You had a little more to play with, but I guess I was at least somewhat on the right track with my strategy, so I'll treat that as a moral win even if I was bounced early |

The funny thing is I thought I was screwed when I saw the post about the change with fatigue. I was at work all day and couldn't change my team. I would have put a 5th SP in there. Already entered another 1625 (Thursday weekly cap) one and changed some things around. I hope it fills. I want to see someone (other than me) win that 100 JR Richard just so I can see what the card looks like.

Who finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th? Possible to share the playoff tree for the last 3 rounds? Would be cool
I won't be able to check how my team did until very late tonight. I long for OOTP Go so much! Edit: I also want to add that tournaments are soooo muuuch fun!!! I can't believe how far OOTP has come since I purchased my first version 10 years ago. Incredible! Last edited by Ile; 11-21-2019 at 06:28 AM. |

So I didnt get to join, filled up before I got out of work.
Wouldve been a great opportunity to get a blue print to help build my low cap team around. Anyone have any insight into the teams that did well?

I didn't win, but afterwards, bought Bullet Joe Rogan for 10K, (before he goes up to 20K, if you can find one).
