Tactics and Attributes Guide

Hey guys and gals! I recently stumbled across a post in the FHM 6 forum that I think it worth revisiting: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=321016

The author, ExeR, did some fantastic work on it and the info is too good for the attention it got. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem too excited by spellcheck or grammar. Lucky for you, though, I have too much time on my hands!

I've been re-reading it and taking notes in the good old outline style we all learned in high school history. I'm still transcribing and I haven't given it much of a proofread yet. It also has lots of shorthand and incomplete sentences because it's a bunch of notes and that's how they work. All that said, I think you'll find it easier to consume than the original post.

That was a great post, I remember it. I'm coming to FHM as someone who loves hockey but spent all my life playing and understanding soccer so I've enjoyed learning the ins and outs of hockey with FHM, but I've always known I didn't know enough to really play the game the right way. So your guide will be useful, thank you.

That guide is really good but the problem is, is any of this detail, and if so, what extent, is actually calculated into the FHM match engine?

I'd love the match engine to be this in depth but I strongly suspect it's not.

The guide is probably more useful for real hockey as opposed to the game itself for this reason.
