1967 Washington Senators
When I loaded the 1967 replay, I was unable to locate Mike Esptein who joined the Senators that year in a trade with Baltimore. Does the game automatically add him to the Senators roster when the actual trade date occurs?

If you enabled historical transactions, yes.

When you play historical games, the rosters for the start of your saved game are based on the opening day rosters for all the teams in MLB. From there, using typical settings, players may be traded, released, signed, etc. You and the AI make these decisions, and your historical league can take on a life of its own.
If you don't want any transactions like this and only want your league to use real historical transactions, then you need to enable that option when you create your league. Keep in mind, however, that you will not be able to make any transactions of your own either. |

Makes sense but Epstein is not on Oriole roster on ootp which contradicts the idea of set rosters on opening day

You could do a search for the player and see what team he is on. Then just read the player history and see what transactions occurred with him. My guess would be that he was traded from Baltimore after the draft.

I just loaded the 1967 season in OOTP15. Epstein is there on the O's roster. Should be the same in OOTP14.

Are you using real lineups and transactions, by the way? I should clarify that, if you're playing with real lineups, this means that the day-to-day rosters will not necessarily be accurate. This is because there isn't a full history of day-to-day roster transactions for all of MLB history, especially for the DL. So, OOTP will have players active when they need to be, in order to appear in the lineup for a game that they started, but the active rosters will not necessarily be 100% accurate and reflect who was on the roster vs. in the minors or on the DL on a given day. Also, as games unfold, anyone on the active roster might be used as a substitute, even if that player did not appear in the game. All that OOTP can guarantee is that the real starting lineups will be used. Since situations will not necessarily unfold exactly as they did in real life, it cannot guarantee that the same pinch hitters, pinch runners, relievers, and defensive substitutes will be used.
