It appears that the auction stats are not accurate.

Yes, difficult to find a way for the average over the last 7 days to be higher than the highest all-time price.

just because you believe the cards aren't worth much is meaningless.

i believe they will be valuable in collections and a few others do as well. time will tell.

the cards don't have much utility in the regular game of PT. but i have a feeling the all iron tournament will be an advantage for those who have these cards. and i am certain there will be collection missions that involve past world series and the red sox/yankee rivalry. and there are unsung iron who fit the bill.

I know Lima sold for 7500. I also sold a lima for 2500. I know of one other sale for 4000.

so why isn't it reflected in card?

There must be a bug in the auction stats. I am wondering how much they can be trusted now after this experience.

and by the way those aren't outlier sales

Lima has only been on AH a few times. he is one of the more rare unsung irons.

so the the 4 figure PP sales are at least a significant percentage of all sales for that card.

if you look at unsung AAV they are all screwy. 7 day is higher than historical.

So are you and webdox the same person? If so, that explains a lot.

How is the volume these days? I stopped putting any of my extras up. Looks like it is down to about 35 or so available on AH.

And it apprears there were/are a lot of these selling for 500+ today.

Is anyone pulling these from packs? Since I knew to watch for them, I've opened about 400 packs (spent $100, and sold a card for 530k). I haven't seen one in that time. I'm starting to think they are no longer in packs at all.

Same here, I keep asking this and haven't found anyone who says they still get them. I would really like to complete my collection. But, not willing to spend a thousand or more...not yet anyway.

Is there any reason to think they would no longer be offered in packs? Seems much more likely to think they are simply super-rare cards.

Probably true, but both of my teams got a few of them in the first week and neither one has gotten any since then. About 800 to 900 packs without a single one.

At a bare minimum, the dearth of iron Unsung Heroes (aka the only iron historical cards) make me question my understanding of the 30% historical pull rate.

I got a bunch at the start and then nothing since. I definitely haven't opened as many packs as you but it strikes me that the odds of receiving them must have been altered. I don't have any hard data though since I haven't kept a record of what I've pulled from packs. If anyone has that data, it'll be interesting to see.

the 30% historical rate doesnt apply to the iron level...i think that has been said on a stream or podcast. stressing the "i think" part, I am not positve and could be wrong.

I have ripped 400+ packs in the last 48 hours

ZERO unsung hero IRON

Creating the belief that they are now extinct will help to drive the price up on the pile that people are holding.

I do think the supply has dried up, but I don't think it has anything to do with OOTP messing with the drop rate. The vast majority of these cards always came from starter packs. There are fewer new teams joining now, so fewer iron unsung heroes entering the ecosystem. The population will receive a boost at the next OOTP sale, likely around the all-star break, when new blood arrives and there are more starter packs ripped.
