GM/Head coach vs GM
I'm deciding if I want to do a GM/head coach game or just GM. I would rather be able to edit the lines but I want to start unemployed and eventually make my way to the NHL.
Does it make it more difficult to do this as a GM/HC? As in, do you need to wait for a team to have a vacancy in both general manager and head coach before they will even consider offering you a contract or how would that work? |

You can't edit the lines if you aren't the Coach. That is the Coach's responsibility.

If the NHL team has a Head Coach already, does it matter if they fire their GM? Would I have to wait for a team to fire both their gm and head coach and hire me to be both? |

It won't make any difference in your ability to get to the NHL, your reputation will still rise by the same amount it would if you had both roles. If an NHL team hires you, it'll be for both roles - you'll still replace the coach even if they're just hiring for the GM job (although you could immediately hire a coach after joining them.)
