Realized I never did Friday's pre-play (need to get back in the swing of things) and was at a concert tonight so here it is after-the-fact. Much less predictive than yesterday's as the Rays won 8-2 IRL.

The perpetually hurt Brandon Lowe injured his oblique in warmups and Kevin Cash says he'll be out a while, but too close to game time for a roster move. He won't be missed today according to OOTP:

Brandon Lowe goes on the IL (again) with an oblique strain and veteran utility dude Niko Goodrum is up from Durham. Jacob Waguespack starts tonight with scheduled starter Tyler Alexander on the bereavement list. They've both stunk it up this season and OOTP thinks it'll continue tonight:

Rays sent down Jacob Waguespack, who pitched well IRL last night instead of being bombed like OOTP said he would, and reinstated Tyler Alexander from the bereavement list. Alexander should start tomorrow's game or pitch as a bulk guy. Meanwhile OOTP continues to hate this year's Rays:
  Minnesota and Detroit played a doubleheader, in case you were wondering how Javy Baez drove in 6 in a game his team only scored 5. Me, I'm wondering how Baez actually has a day like this considering how he's played since becoming a Tiger. |
