3D Camera views

Do I have to re-set my camera views every time I play?
It doesn't seem to want to save my views.

If you save them after creating, I have never not had them there the next game. Only exception is if you reinstall the game.

Nope I save the view I want as "new camera" and if I quit the game and return later, the view is gone.

Hey guys,

Everyone seems to be talking about "camera views", and it appears that this goes beyond the wide angle and normal selections available under game conditions.

What camera angles are you all referring to, and where in the game are these accessed?

Thank you,
Steve

If you go into a team's settings, then edit ballpark, then edit 3D view you can manipulate the camera views and save them (as many as you want). Then in game you can access these views from one of the widgets in the top right corner of the screen. I know in past versions, some had pretty amazing camera views. Now if I could just get the game to retain my saved views, all would be well.

Is there a possibility that it is retaining them, but you haven't selected that view from the dropdown?

Nope. The wide view and the default views are there, but my saved "new camera x" views are gone. If I re-set them, I can use them in game. But if I quit the game and return later, they're all gone. Maddening.

Custom cam views are unique to each ballpark. Try creating a test cam in a different park and see if it sticks...

Related question - where are custom views saved? I would like to make backups.

Found out the hard way that installing patches over writes your custom views

I'm such a backup fanatic too, don't know why I didn't do this earlier

You’re referring to page views not camera views right? And I was not aware they were overwritten.

My custom camera views in 3D Stadiums. There 2 defaults, "default" and "widescreen". I created some custom ones, they disappear when you install a patch.

Someone mentioned in another thread where they're located but I can't find the thread anymore.

Make sure you "save 3d model" in the editor after you make any changes.
