Fog of War or Development?

So I have two Chris Taylors and the one I am using appears to have developed on defense at SS and 2B. If they are supposed to have the same stats, either the one I am using is actually developing, or there is some kind of fog of war in play, kinda of like using a scout in the normal game.

Also, one is a flyball hitter and one is a line drive hitter...

Is this a bug, or is it possible for there to be variations between the same cards?

The one you are using is developing. I'm pretty sure the devs said that would happen.

Players can gain experience in fielding at new positions by playing there in PT, just like in regular OOTP.

Other development isn't possible though, so batting/pitching ratings etc. won't develop or change, just experience at positions in the field.

Based on this section at the top of the Q/A thread I figured the cards were supposed to stay static:

Q: What are the rules of a league inside Perfect Team, compared to default OOTP league rules?
A: No scouting, no injuries, no coaching staff, no finances / contracts / trades, no player morale system. Player development is disabled. 25 players active roster limit, 175 players on reserve roster limit. Players demoted to the reserve roster have to stay there for a minimum of 14 days (league time). Only one card per player allowed on the active roster. Default player rating scale is 1-100 (display of ratings > max enabled), but can be changed by user.

EDIT: Thanks Lukas, I figured player development being disabled was all encompassing. What about the batted ball profile difference?

Afaik, the only thing that will change is the positional experience. Even there the actual fielding ratings stay static, it's just the experience that can increase.

If you look in the screenshot above at the batted ball profile, you can see that the two cards are different.

Overall it's probably not a big deal, but I'm just trying to get a feel for what ratings might change on a player card. While I would always want to choose the card that has the highest defensive experience, I might actually want to change which one I use depending on what batted ball profile matches which stadiums the best. This could cause me to actually want to keep multiple versions of the same card depending on the situation.

That's weird. Idk what's going on there to be honest. Might need Markus to chime in.
