Schedule Request

Let me start by thanking everyone for such a tremendous resource. I've been a user of the fictional schedules here for some time and I appreciate the work that goes into it.

I have a current request and I could not find what I was looking for in the pinned post.

Request for a schedule for 30 team league. 2 SLs with 1 D each, 15 teams in each SL. I need a simple balanced 140 game schedule where each team plays the other teams in its division 10 times. No interleague, no ASB. Should start on a Monday in early March and end in September. I'd prefer not to have 5 game series but I'll take what I can get. Would prefer 3 game series with the understanding that would force a 2 game series later to get to 5 H/5 A with each opponent. If that's not possible, I'll make the 5 game series work. Sprinkle in off days every 10 days or so, whatever works.

Thanks in advance!

I may have one that I can modify

I'll look to see what I have in my files. May have one that I can convert to OOTP format.

Just so you know, this schedule as you conceive it would be very weird and have some unintended side effects because of the odd number of teams in each league. With no interleague you'll always have one team per league that is off, without an opponent to play that day - it's why MLB moving the Astros to the AL necessitated interleague play throughout the year. If you want a schedule without any interleague it's almost a requirement to have an even number of teams per subleague.

I created a schedule like this a while back. I am changing it from 90 to 140 games for the request here. As long as there are games everyday you can look at it as the break for the team. 3 series a week gives each team 2-3 days off 5 weeks.

This is a weird setup, but it out okay.

As for the request, I will be done tomorrow with it.

Schedule completed.

Difficult schedule to do right with the specs given. I did get it to work with 5h/5a vs all subleague opponents, although I originally wanted to go 4/6 or 6/4. It was difficult to fit it from early March to September. I tried to get it to go 182 games like MLB, but even with 2 teams off 2 or 3 games per day, I was only able to stretch it out to 175 games, so it will run mid March to early September. 140 games/ 175 games days is 35 off per season, which is 20% off throughout the season. MLB is 162 games in 182 days with only 20 off days.

Well here it is. I did not test it in game since I do not have OOTP on the computer I am using at this time. Overall, I think this will work for you.

Enjoy.

James
