Ort, you have done a fine job in creating all these A's baseball cards, but I can't figure out who pitcher Eddie Baker is on the previous page. There does not seem to be anyone by that name in either major league or minor league history in the files of baseball-reference.com. Would you clarify, please?

For those trying to figure out Whitey Schmidt, I think he is Leroy "Roy" Schmidt, who was on the A's spring roster in 1957 and was a non-roster invitee with them in 1955 and 1956. Along with being a first baseman, he was also an outfielder.

I got all of these A's photos off of the Lexibell files. There were two pictures in the files for each photo - one showing the front (actual picture) and the other showing the back (usually containing the player's name). Lot's of ways I could have screwed up here - the names were handwritten, so I could have misread it. I might have matched up the wrong back with the wrong front. I'm pretty sure that I went on baseball reference and looked the guy up if I thought that there may be a possibility that I might be misreading the name. I also could have thought I read one name and then put down another like I did with Gene Host who I put down as Gene Holt.
