On the positive side we have LF Tim Osborne back healthy and on the ML roster. He will start vs LHP in LF. SP Tony Biernat is off of the DL and is an a rehab assignment at AAA. Once their season ends he will come up and pitch out of the bullpen. We should get The Rock back after the Las Vegas series.

A really bad week at 1-5. My decision to have Joe Torre take over for the remainder of the season was easy for many reasons. Players respect him and he carries the same weight in the locker room that my father did. Also, yes, in part if we fail he becomes the scapegoat.Doubtful he will return next season, although I may not resume duties as MGR either.
