Looking For "Friends" to join "Our League". - Page 47

Some Gold news:

The Cowboys scratched out of the playoffs to the Kitty Cats, who had some good pitching performances to shut down my normally good offense. Their starters were great at everything except Movement, which I couldn't punish given that I only have 2 players who can hit a homer.

I don't mind too much as I don't think this team is ready for Diamond. Need to make a few upgrades, although the players I want cost about 7k each. Going to have to wait for PP. I opened 3 challenge mode packs today and they were all absolutely awful. It reminds myself not to purchase packs with PP.

The Seattle Pilots and Transylvania Impalers played each other in the Divisional Round, with the Pilots prevailing in 4 games. Although the Impalers won the Gold Our League crown, the Pilots move on in the playoffs and will be promoted to Diamond. Looking forward to facing the Impalers again next year, as they are a very good team.

The Cowboys had a player win the batting title for I think the third straight time. This time it was Tony Gwynn, with Rod Carew and Daniel Murphy in previous years. Bronze Gwynn had the highest batting average in the league despite having only a 110 OPS+, haha.

Kaneohe is excited about the upcoming our league season. We are feverishly working on cobbling together a pitching staff to go with a lineup that is hopefully proficient in offense as well as defense. PP is really tight now as we sell off players no longer in our plans.

Thanks for the playoff update. I was hoping I could check on the playoff results from the PT Universe screen, but I guess it only gets updated at the end of the sims for a particular day. It still shows only the two Wild Card games on the schedule for the leagues. One of things I've really come to enjoy about Our League is the rooting interest it engenders in you for the other teams in Our League. Before, I barely paid attention to the other teams.

Also, only need the Bluffton Boomerangs and Salem Witches logos to complete the league folder. Many thanks to all. Here's hoping an Our Leaguer or two takes a PT title with them to their next level.

Bluffton beat the Cooper Gurter Cats 3 games to 2 in the Division series and Salem 4 games to 2 in the Sub League series. Finals is not against an Our League team, so that should finish things up for Bluffton.
