Yeah. I’m gonna skip this one. I’ve got Intel and nVidia on a sweet rig and I’m not jacking that up....

I have a.... 4-5 yr old dell xps with i7, nvidia 1050 with newest driver, running win 10 64 bit with latest update. I've been playing with the new patch, with what I think is a very slight slow down, with the new Optimized Image Resize enabled. With it disabled no difference from last patch. People are going to have to post more details on their machines to narrow this down. Could be intel + nvidia is ok but any setup with amd or raedon as a part has the issue? I think spritze is the first to post an issue with intel but doesn't note what he has for graphics, nvidia, raedon, or integrated? |

I installed the latest patch and if anything the in-game aspect runs a little bit smoother. Seems less juddery when the ball is in flight. No crashes, delays, hangs etc.

Ok guys, clearly there are enough reports of this that there's something not right
We're really sorry We'll be taking a look at this asap. Thanks to everyone who posted their specs. If you're having issues and haven't done so yet, if you could do so it would be a big help. Thanks!

Just to get some more info, for anyone with this issue, does changing the OpenGL settings or the audience settings help at all or is it the same?
I think one or two folks tried it earlier in the thread here but would help if a few more folks could try it as well. Thanks!

I have run into the slow down glitch with the patch.
I play out every game, and pre-patch could get through one in between 25 and 40 minutes. I started a game and 20-25 minutes in, it was 1-0 after three innings. My computer has got some years on it, it's an HP H8-1234 that was manufactured in April 2012. If I remember correctly, it actually belonged to my father, he never took it out of the box and gave it to me probably in 2013. A lot of this his Greek to me, when I worked in an office I just called tech support and he showed up a day or two later. It runs Windows10.0.17134 Build 17134 The processor is AMD FX(tm)-6120 Six-Core Processor, 3500 Mhz, 3 Core(s), 6 Logical Processor(s) Norton 360 security. It looks like my graphics card is a DirectX12. I have been playing virtually every night since April, currently in the 2021 season with my World Series champion Cardinals and I do not want to quit now, but this will not work. |

Went in and finished the game I had started.
It is really bad. Taking a look at your bench takes forever, going deeper into your bench, like checking a relief pitcher's fatigue, takes even longer. Numerous not responding messages. Game took more than an hour and 10 minutes to play. Last edited by rink23; 08-15-2018 at 04:13 AM. |

OK folks, we're investigating. This will be a tough one to track down, as it seems to only happen on AMD processors (Spritze's problem is likely something else). We have tested it here with several Intel PCs and there is absolutely no difference between 19.7 and 19.8 in terms of performance. Unfortunately we do not own any AMD PCs, so we'll probably do a public beta for AMD users once we have figured out what may cause this. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Folks, please try this in OOTP:
File menu -> Settings -> 3D & Facegen tab -> OpenGL Mode, set this to "Disable OpenGL" and try again. Please let us know if this changes something. |

Anyother question to AMD processor users.... how long is the lag when you normally browse the game, for example when switching from the team home screen to the team lineup screen? On my 5-year old Intel system this is about a second (which is normal)...

A little lag from Team Home to Lineup screen. It is in game where I am seeing the issues.
A little slower than usual when I click to go into an individual player screen. Don't have time to start game to see how it plays there. Last edited by rink23; 08-15-2018 at 05:06 AM. |

I did disable the openGL with no difference. Also, the delay, about 2-3 seconds, is in everything. Every time you click there is a delay. I thought it was just in playing the game, but it's every thing. Reading the managers messages. Click on the message and wait 2-3 seconds , then you can read it. I tried to take a screen shot, that took about 30 seconds. I was waiting, waiting, then when I gave up, it finally came on that the screen shot was saved. I have AMD processor and AMD graphics card as I posted earlier. Good luck. You guys still rule and will find this out. Thanks.
