This is really awesome, if only this had been around when I was creating my league's jerseys before. Are there plans for more options on the shoulder yoke design then, too?

They aren't clickable with the mousepad, and while I can get them to respond if I tab through to them and press enter on the keyboard, the save option generates a "413 Request Entity Too Large" browser error and the imgur option goes into a spinning wheel that doesn't end.
I had been running into the 413 error when I was developing this - the hosting company seems to be limiting how much data I can post, and both the save options post image data to a PHP script that generates the actual image you get. I thought I had worked around the limits successfully, but apparently there's something still amiss. I'll have to take a look into this and see if I can figure something out.

Unfortunately I don't have a Mac to test the site out with, and I know that some Mac users have issues with the OOTP utilities that I can't replicate on Windows. Hopefully this isn't one of those situations. Have you tried Firefox?

edit: In a bit of testing, it looks like Firefox posts less data than Chrome does for some reason, at least in Windows. My guess is that Chrome is adding some header data or something, and Firefox might be able to squeak under the hosting company's limit.

Eventually, I hope to, yes.

Thanks for the suggestion, the imgur option in Firefox looks like it generates a working .png file on Mac. Awesome!

Glad to hear it. That should also generate a downloadable file as well, since I'm using the same process to generate that image as I am to generate the imgur one.

All,

I've implemented a workaround that should solve the 413 errors when trying to generate a file or post to imgur using Chrome.

There is the chance of a slight quality tradeoff (I send a .jpg image to the server for processing instead of a .png image if the page determines that a png would be too big), but nothing that should be noticeable once the jerseys are imported into the game.

Just a quick note to say that I've fixed an issue (well, worked around an issue) that was causing users with high-DPI screens to export a "cropped" image. The jersey may appear somewhat blurry in the browser now if you have a high-DPI screen, but it will export properly.

This is awesome. I'm going to start to work on some 1980's AHL and IHL jerseys now.

I have a question about using this. I'm trying to create a black jersey but when I make the jersey black the background is also black and it makes it hard to see what I'm doing. Is there any way to change the background? Sorry if this is already posted somewhere.

No, there isn't. The background doesn't change, it's a static image (and technically it's not even the background, it's an overlay!). Best I can suggest is just setting the jersey color as the last step. I wouldn't go any darker than, say, hex code #141414 anyways (that's an RGB value of 20, 20, 20), since going really black loses all the fabric detail.

Hey Eriq

Any chance the FHM sweater factory gets expanded anytime soon?
More sleeve and body stripe/pattern variations maybe?

Anyway, I love the sweater factory and a big thx to you was long overdue

I still need to updated my template, with all the Adidas collars, retro collars, stripes, patterns etc. Issue is, I use Illustrator, most use Photoshop. I need to convert it over and then release a new template. Once I do that I am sure Eriq can implement it into his utility.

Do you have this in .psd format? I'd love to create custom uniforms in my league (we already have a great uniform template to show off our teams but its not for facegen).

Yes I do, it’s not updated with retro collars or adidas collars though (or some of the specialty collars used for winter classics and stadium series) but it has all the Reebok stuff, stripes, stitching patterns, collars etc

Oh, have I got some news!

I've been working on this for a while, and I've gotten int working. With a couple of caveats - you can upload your own fonts.

What are the caveats?
  1. The browser doesn't have direct access to your installed fonts, so it's a manual upload process. That's a basic security thing and I can't change that (and I wouldn't even if I could).
  2. The browser - at least in Windows - can't access your default Fonts folder (i.e. C:\Windows\fonts - see my security note above), so you'll have to copy whatever fonts you want to use somewhere else, like a temp folder on your Desktop or something.
  3. I've run into a few fonts that just don't work for reasons I can't identify. So this may always be a slightly hit-or-miss thing.
  4. Uploaded fonts will only be available during the current session - if you close or refresh the browser the fonts will disappear from the list.
  5. Uploaded fonts will only be available to you, so other people won't be able to access fonts you've uploaded.
  6. Uploaded fonts can't be used with the "Diagonal" text option - it will revert back to a standard sans-serif font . I'm working on that.

(Also, who do I have to sweet talk around here to get this thread stickied? )
