Coupon

Currently it's $32.99 CAD on stream but $43.85 when downloading from OOTP. It's asking for a coupon. What is that coupon?

Post from Andreas that should help you:

Re. exchange rate: Please change the currency to USD in the esellerate web store. There's a pull-down box on top of the store page. Your payment will automatically be converted by your bank or credit card company in that case.

No, there is no coupon. Esellerate handles currency conversions automatically based on current exchange rates etc., Steam does not. Hence the price may differ. You could select USD in the currency dropdown in the non-Steam version, that may result in a better price because your CC company will handle the conversion.

Steam is $32.99 CAD i'm assuming that's total. If i buy from OOTP and hit the drop down it shows $29.99 USD. I know the Canadian dollar is around 75 cents for 1 American dollar so converting that is going to be be over $32.99 from around $37-38$ Thus it's cheaper to buy on Steam no?

I think the point is that Steam has a 25% off sale so it's significantly cheaper to purchase it over Steam than using the in-game application.

That's why the OP was asking for a coupon to apply the same discount Steam is offering but for in-game purchases.

Steam has a 25% discount so it's cheaper there.

It's suppose to be a 25% discount across the board. Seems to me Steam is cheaper with the discount then it should have been where as OOTP's discount is 25% of what it promised.

Steam is selling at more then better price then they should be at for Canadians.

In our store it is USD $29.99 as well, no difference! The only difference is the exchange rate to CDN $, which is out of our control. Steam obviously has not adjusted that in quite a while.

No, the exchange rate is accurate at Steam.

Before the Steam discount it's listed at 43.99 CAD, which is $29.99 USD. They are then subtracting 25% off the list price and selling it for $32.99 CAD on Steam.

No, that is not accurate. Steam has a different exchange rate for CDN. It's 1 to 1.1 ... so outdated.

Essentially, they convert the USD $29.99 to CDN $32.99. So after the 25% off.

While I'm not going to complain that I'm getting it cheaper on steam, I was hoping to support you guys a bit more but steam just updated their CDN>USD rate last week. I know this because CSGO Keys are 2.50 USD and they just went to 3.35 CDN from 3.15, so I'm 100% sure it was updated.

It is listed as normally 43.99 CDN (29.99 USD) on sale for 32.99 CDN(23.99 USD). So as I said the exchange is right, the price on either steam or your market is wrong. I'd rather buy from you guys but seems wires crossed somewhere.

There are some currency discrepancies in there some where. Regardless i'm buying from the site even if it will cost me more i don't care. That's what i was prepared to pay so.

Yeah, it's something out of our control. I don't mind you guys going for the better Steam price, it's understandable.

If you actually log into the steam store from a US site, it sells it for 29.99 USD (on sale from 39.99 USD). As mentioned by the others, they simply apply the wrong exchange rate, giving a great deal to Canadians.

Well regardless screw Steam.

I'll use my USD credit card and purchase using the in-game portal.
