Confused about scouting report
I'm new to the game, so I'm not 100% sure how everything works. However, this particular scouting report for Glenn Hubbard seemed strange to me:
His current ability is rated as 1.0 stars, relative to the ML. His potential, again relative to the ML, is 4.5 stars. Glenn has been added to your player shortlist. Here is the complete scouting report: SUMMARY: Lacks the hitting tools to play in the big leagues. CONTACT: Can be overaggressive, leading to fluctuating contact. POWER: Hubbard's power grades out as average. EYE: Will see a lot of pitches each at-bat. He frustrates pitchers with his patience. DEFENSE: He's considered an average fielder at best. SPEED: Below-average runner. * So, everything looks like average or below. How in the heck is that 4.5 stars? My setting are "overall rating based on AI eval" and I have "overall rating based on players, not positions" turned off. So, is it saying that he's below-average, but pretty good for a 2nd baseman? Or is it saying that he's bad now, but can build up to 4.5 stars? |
