2 Subleagues, Balanced Sched
For newcomers out there, this trick may help you if you want to have two subleagues, but have the teams play an equal number of games against each other.
step one is on the game setup- options page, to choose the number of games you want in your league. be sure balanced it checked. interleague is not important step two is to go to the game setup screen then edit league structure on this screen make sure there are least 2 divisions on one of the leagues. if there is only one (say as in historical ml 1901-1960) then just create a new division. step 3 move all the teams from one subleague into the new division.. delete the old subleague, now with no teams in it click create schedule. there should now be a balanced sched of teams playing each other equally the last step is to make a new subleague, and move the teams you just moved back to that league. DO NOT CREATE A NEW SCHEDULE delete any extra divisions that no longer have teams in them voilla note you will get a message when you go to the next day that says "league has changed schedule may be a problem" or whatnot- just ignore that message. play on. every year you will keep getting a balanced sched between the two leagues of course if starting from teh new game screen. you can start as a 1 subleague, then follow the steps above simply moving teams to a new subleague and not creating a new schedule anyway that may help someone out there |

You should post this in the main forum so that it gets more exposure. Tremendous idea. This should work well with leagues that have different amounts of teams such 14 and 12...so that you can have interleague play--otherwise the game will not create the schedule.
