john,
this is my favorite division of all time, especially in the 80s & 90s. i couldn't wait for you to get to them. thank you, so much for taking the time. i especially like the fighters who moved up to jww, such as rosario, camacho, haugen, etc. also, love the fighters who started at 140 like oba carr. good stuff as always, john! |

Thanks very much for these, John. Can't believe you added Eric "The Prince" Martin! I used to spar with him when I was a teen here in the Oakland Bay Area...

He is an FYI when adding these ratings .... I have several databases, with one being the main one for official downloads from the on-line database. In order to add these to the official ratings you kind of have to go in a circle.
Let's take Livingstone Bramble for example. If you import his JWW rating into your database it will either overwrite his LW rating or you will have a duplicate. So the best way to add the JWW rating to his LW rating is overwrite ... which will leave you with just the JWW and then Update from the pool. At that point you will have one file for Bramble but it will have both weights. This is assuming John keeps his "Valid as of" date different than the one that is in the official database. |

Overwrites
I have only encountered two kinds of overwrites. When a fighter has the same name as another boxer and is put into the system, the data in the bio changes for the fighter already there. Other than that, everything remains the same. I have encountered no difficulty when importing a fighter I already have in my universe but in a new weight division. The stats remain and data on the first page remain different for each one.
The other kind of overwrite happens if the boxrec number is the same due to a typo. Then, if you're not careful, you will overwrite the fighter already there. That is why I have been giving fake boxrec numbers to any fighter I put into the game who doesn't have one. I intentionally keep a fighter in my universe with no boxrec number so that I can immediately detect if a fighter I am downloading doesn't have one. |

This fighter was listed in the 2004 file as a Lightweight but his weight range according to boxrec was never that low so I.ve posted him as a Junior Welterweight instead.

Hi John,
Do you possibly have a JWW version of Jose Luis Ramirez? I know he spent some time @ 140 circa 1989. Thanks |
