Historical Mode

Has anyone used this in-depth yet and how is it playing?

Been doing one game starting in 81-82 so far. Just a couple of observations after just simming and not getting involved in any way:

- There seem to be too few trades with standard settings. I increased it and it's okay now, I guess.
- Trade deadlines don't seem to exist in the GM's minds.
- Too much fighting.
- Scoring totals are nice and realistic.
- There's variance in how careers play out.
- Arriving in the salary cap era things become a little messed up. Too many great players sit out complete season after season.
- Free agency isn't a big thing either. Too many (good) players stay at the same team for their whole career, I feel. That's okay for old times, but not for modern times.
- Automatic expansion and expansion drafts seem to work flawlessly.
