So here's the new updated file as of July 20.
There's a few hundred changes from the last file posted including some which were not included and a ton of upgrades. https://www.dropbox.com/s/q1kyak424vy56zj/July20.zip |

Hey all...did 37 players in my latest update...mostly major leaguers this time around.
I'd be happy to "demo" any Facegen for anyone who wants to compare between this and what they currently have in their game. And, as always, feel free to incorporate these into larger packs. |

Roger Maris just entered my league. I think he badly needs an upgrade, and my attempts have not improved on what's already there.
Is anyone up for taking a shot at him. I just can't get him right |

Try this one out and see what you think. I named it Roger_Maris2 so it won't overwrite your current FG in case you don't like it.

Not sure if I should start a new topic or just ask some of the pros in this thread...
But I want to create a FaceGen of my myself that I have in game. Whats the best approach to get a very accurate file once I upload it in game. The FaceGen's I have of a lot of MLB players look so crisp, accurate, and dead on... where the one I create of myself looks more "cartoony"... are there any tips, tricks, or features on the FaceGen modeler that I should be aware of or is there anything I should be aware of prior to doing the "photofit"?

1- get a high quality picture, no shadows if possible. 2- go through the usual process of making the facegen 3- increase the detail texture modulation as high as possible. You may want to play with some of the other sliders, colors etc if you want to tweak a little. |

I would also say try to find a picture where the person is not smiling. Teeth don't render well and it looks awful in-game. With players who do show teeth, it is sometimes possible to fix this through the liquify/smudge tool in Photoshop by covering the smile with "lips". Then you can adjust the lips size back to normal in Facegen. It doesn't always look great in game but it looks better than liptooth IMO.
Since it appears that you're doing a self-picture, that shouldn't be too hard. As Tnarg said, try to avoid shadows. With self-pictures, I wouldn't worry too much about trying to get side pics. It's next to impossible to do with players anyway. |

In reading some of the other threads, looks like some changes were made for the mac. Wondering if that is the reason why I had to add some color to a lot of these... |

Could be. I optimize these for the 2.2 Gamma LUT setting (which is what I use), so adjustments may be necessary to get them to look good in-game.

I just want to thank everyone for their hard work on these Facegens. I much prefer them to the photos in-game! Well done by all.
It'd be great if somehow the running updates could be added to the in-game Mod Central - I must confess, as a newbie, I'm not sure why they aren't already. |

Thanks! Found most of them but still couldn't locate:
Ryan Cook (OAK) Jeff Locke (PIT) * edit: I had to delete the facegen I had for Giancarlo in my game and reload it, now it looks like Giancarlo and not the P- Mike Stanton Thanks again!! Last edited by DamPenguin; 10-01-2014 at 10:38 AM. |

Back with a few more updates, minor league prospects and a few Hall of Famers.
Some were just a little tweak while others were completely new versions. Couple examples, Robinson and DiMaggio. |
