Which real mlb draft prospects seem to always be great players in your leagues?
I always see Rece Hinds, luke leto, trejyn fletcher are the main ones I see. I don't think I have seen any pitchers consistently become 4.5- 5 stars in every league like i have seen with these three guys.

Seth Beer in my save has done good in 6 seasons in the MLB. Drafted by the O's in 2018 11th pick and has been moved to First Base. Career Stats 202 HR, 490 RBI's, AVG 247 with a career WAR of 15.1

high potential = future talent. can't predict random talent changes.
work ethic/intelligence amongst the ones wtih high potential will be more likely to develop fully. just the dynamcs of the game... rename them anything you want and it will still adhere to this concept. |

After multiple playthroughs, I agree that Rece Hinds would be a star in the making. On the opposite end of the spectrum, althrough he is already in the league, Ryan McMahon will give you one good season before a very quick decline. Even if he wins ROY for you in 2018 or 2019, trade him while you can.

Kind of the opposite here.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. - in OOTP 18 I never saw him once reach his potential, he usually becomes a serviceable RF at 50/80. I only have 1 game in OOTP 19, but as of 2022 it appears he is on the same path. |

not a huge prospect, but Dalton Pompey has far exceeded expectations.
I manage every game, & still playing same dynasty for years, so not much to go on or alternate leagues. but I picked Pompey up off waivers & he has gone 20/20 every since (more like 20/80) with a batting average around 280. never expected the power. he also broke Henderson's SB record with 137. after 4-5 years, the SBs are declining while HRS are increasing. can't argue with that. I couldn't be happier with the pick up. a couple all star teams & a WS MVP. |

He's a beast in my games but I manage the Jays. In fact, him and Bo Bichette can immediately crack my big-league roster in the 1st season!

In my last '18 league, Royals 1B prospect Nick Pratto developed into the best player in baseball.

Seth Beer has always been good in my games going back to OOTP 16. His draft stock has fallen a bit in the past year, in 19 he still gets picked near the top of the draft and has great potential ratings

Hunter Greene becomes an ace pitcher, his bat never pans out.

i prefer intelligence over work ethic when it comes to development.. work ethic is stronger effect on longevity -- my 2 cents. could be wrong. as long as they are at least ~average for these 2 personality traits, you should feel fairly confident in them.. more so with a 22year old than an 18 year old, of course. i'm ignoring scouting inaccuracy and TCR -- cannot predict either, so don't try. play the odds is all you can ever do. |

My fav player who is always good and has incredibly long longevity is Ricky Henderson, he's always been my favorite....but I like speed over power, and the power guys sometimes have issues ex..Mark Mcguire and Canseco for sure...they start off hitting well but their contact drops alot.

Jared Kelenic. Drafted by cubs in my league in first round 2021 (went to college for 3 years after being drafted by brewers and not signing). Brought him over in 2023 as i salary dumped DeGrom and Inciarte. Decided to let him play the rest of the season and ended up .275/.369 with 6 homers. Went through off season and his ratings went up so figured let him play every day. Almost September and he is .350/.450. Hitting 29 homers. So we shall see where this goes.

I play out all games so I have only one league I started In 2017 with OOTP18. Dylan Cozens is a beast. He has hit 178 HRs in just 4 and a half years.
