Throwback Jerseys/Logos for newer teams

I want to do a custom historical game that features a much larger NHL during the O6 era. My issue is, if a team like, for example, the preds existed in the 1950s, they wouldn't be using the very modern logo they have now.

I have to imagine I'm not the first person to have this thought, and am curious if anyone's done any kind of project like this before. I see a few redesign threads for current/defunct teams, but none that go the other way.

I actually did this with the Winnipeg jets and because the jet wasn’t really invented until the 60s I started out as the Winnipeg aviators and updated the logo and jersey designs as I went, I got to about the 80s before my game corrupted, but it was a fun experiment to do
