Download problems

I had a problem crop up on OOTP 11. All of a sudden I cannot download the league file from at least two of my leagues. After trying for about 20 minutes, the game says Error: cannot download file. I've been with these leagues for several months and I am able to download other files (iTunes, OS updates, etc). I am currently running Lion on my iMac. I've run a test on my d/l speed and it's just under 6Mbps.

1st thought that comes to mind is perhaps the AccountsGM data is missing, I know for new leagues until I install that, they won;t work.
2nd thought, and very rare was that the server was down or the commish was uploading at the same time you were downloading, I had that happen to me a few days ago.

Try to get the accountsGM file from the commish, contact your commish ask him what might be wrong or redownload the initial file then update ( sucks when the file is 1GB)

OK, I'll try it later when I'm awake but it's strange that all the leagues are doing it at the same time.

Hey Chicagofan, hope you're still here. I found a way around my download problem. I disconnected the Ethernet cable for my internet and just used the W-Fi network I have in the house and I'm downloading again. I have a friend who rents a room from me and I'll have to ask him about that. Can you think of something?

I am out of ideas, but I am not an internet guru. I could only think of the 2 recent problems I had for new leagues I had joined. When you have your Ethernet cable in you have no problems surfing the net? with that are you able to watch Youtube videos ok? I think you said your download speed was 6mbps? kinda slow. Mine avg 7.75 download 9.31 upload. Check out Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test I always do 3 tests. I am on a wireless.Also perhaps complain to your internet provider. Do others in the league have the same problem?
