We are at the Rule 5 draft in our off-season and the day of reckoning has come for our inactive GMs.

Good group of guys, but the commissioner is completely unprofessional. In short, some didn't like the way I ran my organization: selecting several R5 picks, putting recently signed FAs on my trade block, and opening with a 4-man rotation. Though permitted by the constitution, I was happy to curb these practices. But instead of approaching me directly, the commissioner permitted another GM to attack me in private before threatening me himself, by inference, in public. That course of action was entirely unnecessary and left me feeling insulted and unwelcome. I strive always to treat others with respect, and will only play with those who do the same.

Of note: Though I left of my own accord, I have witnessed the commish summarily expel GMs he personally dislikes from the league; also, in-game emails are continually blank/glitched, and the commish messed up this season's All-Star Game schedule irreparably; finally, if a league's constitution is not a sufficient guide as to what is and is not acceptable, the fault lies with the commissioner, not the participating GMs.

To the people who have reported Shakeypaws' post and those who may be thinking of doing so, we generally don't moderate posts that are critical of online leagues. We think it's important that people have an outlet to voice their less than satisfactory experiences. Just think, maybe one day you or a friend might have a bad experience with an online league and you'd probably want to warn others or you be warned about that league too.

As a league you have two options: you can either create new threads until the critical poster gives up and moves on or, preferably, you can just ask more of your league members to post their positive experiences. The latter is preferred because then you won't be seen as spamming the board.

Personally, one poster's negative experience doesn't turn me off of a league and I have to imagine most people are that way too. It's when you get multiple people voicing their displeasure that you really have to give joining that league another thought.
