minor league lineups - current or potential?

Is there any general consensus as to which is better?

General consensus seems to be to use potential for everything but AAA, where you should use current. Has worked well for me.

Thanks. Potential for most levels seems so obviously correct that I was wondering what I was missing. Can you set those individually for each level? I'm not sure I know where to do that.

I use potential, I don't want career minor leaguers holding back prospect's development.

Been a long time since I've looked, and can't say off the top of my head which menu it's on, but I thought this was a global setting.

It is a global setting but can also be changed on individual league basis. I believe for individual leagues, the setting is found under 'Stats & AI' (underneath SP rotation settings).

Like Sweed said, I do not want career minor leaguers blocking dev time for prospects. This is always on 'potential' for me.

Do you know where I can find this option within Global Settings? Thanks in advance.

The global setting is on the Rules page, in the Minor Leagues Settings section. It's called "Base Minor League Depth Charts and Pitching Staff on..."

The issue if you do not set AAA to "current" is the AI will start a middling minor leaguer over a MLB player on rehab assignment or depth player that is your 26/27th man. Just be careful with that.
