Jim Smith strikes again.
Hi. I saw a fix for this in a forum for FHM3, but I may need a little bit more of a walkthrough. Not locating my saved games.
The game seems to be working great and I am having (too much) fun with it playing 1993-94 New York Islanders. Made it to mid-February and I just loaded my game and my GM has changed from Darcy Regier to Jim Regier and about 85% of my players are now named Jim, Jim Smith or some variation. The previous fix involved copying over the corrupted names file with a new one, but I could use some help locating those files. I see the names file, but there is not distinction for old games versus newly loaded game. Apologies. Not so computer savvy. |

I think I fixed it myself...
May have found a new bug, though. Game crashed when I tried to open and look at a previously played game on the schedule and see if names were right in box score. Crashed immediately when i clicked on it. Every time.

Where did you get the names file you used? It sounds like there may be an issue with mismatched names. The best method is usually to either copy it from one of the rolling backups, or create a new game with exactly the same parameters as your existing one and copy from there. Even in that case, though, there may be some mismatch issues depending on what version the save that's having the problem was started with.
