Can you edit a Rule 5 designation?
Started with the 2019 Jays and Elvis Luicano, who in "real life" is on the Jays active roster because he is Rule 5 was on the A Ball team in OOTPB ( with a Rule 5 designation)
I called him up half way through the year and then was unable to send him down--that's ok, he's a Rule 5. Issue is Im now in 2020 (his second season)and I cannot send him to the minors. He is still designated as a Rule 5 player. Is there a way to undesignated him through the editor? I dont seem to see that option. Anyone else come across this? |

Did he start the season on the injured list? That may explain why he was at A ball, to begin with (rehab assignment). I would release him, and see if I couldn't swing a trade.
There used to be a bug, I'm sure it's been fixed, where if you traded your rule 5 player, and the other team released him, he'd wind up in your system, rather than the original team.

I've noticed that all Rule V guys usually never start a new OOTP game in the majors. It's just something you have to work around. You could go into commish mode and release him and just re-sign him and then just dont send him down for the rest of the season.

you'd have to edit their service time.

I believe the CBA or the RV rule has injury time built into RV where the player MUST spend X amount of days on the 25 man roster. I saw where you said he wasn't injured, but I thought that was meaning starting the season on the DL. Other than that, it doesn't make sense to me. |
