Creating Schedules Help

Hi I am new to OOTP and just started playing thanks to Franchise hockey manager.

I want to create a schedule with less than 100 games but with days off games in between. How easy is it to create it with the days off? What would be the easiest way?

Are there editors to do this or is it all ingame?

You can make them in notepad, i have not made one since 12.
GMO's blog is very helpful. Also PM Sandman as he seems to be the primary schedule maker lately for questions.
