I'm sick of Alex Rodriguez.
I was going to post the latest rumor about his PED use. Know what? I'm not going to bother. I am sick and tired of A-Rod.
He's been more trouble and distraction than he's worth, literally, and he's going to continue to be a team tumor for years to come. I am a Yankees fan and I want him gone. I would trade the 2009 Championship if it meant he never put on the pinstripes. He doesn't deserve the uniform. Jeez, I'm sick of of the sight of him. I'm looking forward to seeing Youk at 3B.

You know, Tribe, I'm not just blowing smoke. I rather A-Rod was an Indian!
Just kidding. It's just the:

Well, at least Youk is a true Northeastern mate ... I hope he does well there ... will miss him ...
It is really sad to see such players with a true pedigree stamp all over him ... I would never understand all of this for seeing such talents being involved with drugs when there is no need for them ... unfortunately, how one end their career will forever be remembered the most ... As I had the fortunate of seeing Yaz running around Fenway Park for the last time ... he went out in class ...

I can tell you, from my small sample, that quite a few Yankees fans agree with me. How in the hell can they give this guy that contract, for 10 years at his age, and expect him to be still productive in the later years . . . for crying out loud, I do better at OOTPB than the dopes who do it for a living!

Know what? Even if he bats .236, I will watch Youk play ball with greater satisfaction than I ever witnessed A-Rod blast his homers in usually non-clutch situations. Because I have heard Youk is a team player and a good man, not the empty suit marquee man the other guy is. You talk about a clutch situation? I'd rather have Youk up at bat than A-Rod. I mean that. You mention Yaz. A-Rod could not even carry his jock strap, even with PED's.

Let me say something else, now that I am on a roll.
How in the flying fig can someone lose the friendship of someone like Derek Jeter. How? I'll tell you how. When they were young, they were alike. Young, carefree, altruistic. As they aged, Jeter stayed on the high road and A-Rod took the low (me, me, me) road. Jeter stayed team as A-Rod became superstar (and cheater). As time passed, Jeter could no longer stand the man that A-Rod had become. How else would YOU explain it? How would you lose the friendship of a man like Derek Jeter?

I wonder what he thinks about when he wakes up in the morning? Do you think he sleeps on silk sheets? Maybe with pinstripes on them?

I'm glad you bumped this thread over the other one I just posted in. I want this to become the "dump on A-Rod" thread. I am sick and tired of him. Not only that, I am tired and sick of him!

Statement: New Yorkers are doing whatever they can to avoid catching the flu.
Punchline: Today A-Rod's cousin injected him with Vitamin C. Statement: A New York model has revealed that Alex Rodriguez has a huge foot fetish. Punchline: It's hardly surprising considering he's spent most of his career with his own foot in his mouth. Q: What is an A-Roid cocktail? A: An overpriced drink that is best before October! BOOOO A-ROD>>> BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO |

I guess I have never gotten on the hate train. He gave New York six excellent years and 1 good year and two slightly above average years.
It is not exactly his fault that New York gave him a terrible contract and is still owed five years of contract money. He is 37 and is declining pretty much like his PECOTA projection says he would. For all the crap he has taken from New York fans I would stick around for the next five years out of pure spite and collect the $114m that I am owed. It does look like the Yankees will at least get out of paying him $30m for HR bonuses. Last edited by rudel.dietrich; 01-30-2013 at 08:32 PM. |

Since this is an Arod rant thread.
I think honestly the whole baseball universe is sick of Arod and the media's obsession. Any time Arod sneezes there is a member of the media there to wipe his nose. I would like nothing better than to have Arod move to small market team so I no longer have to hear his name. I don't blame the Yankees for their high spending but I do think this is a direct consequence to it. Having too much money can often lead to spending it on stupid things. To me Arod is the yankee's punishment for overspending courtesy of the Baseball Gods. Completely in jest ofcourse... or is it.

I've been sick of Arod since 2000, "I want to play for a winning team" 116 wins ain't enough for you.

Just don't become sick of ARod threads!
Please, pile it on! I even welcome "New Yorkers deserves him because everybody who lives from Westchester down through Montauk sucks. Sucks!" [People living in and north and west of Orange and Putnam Counties are OK, though. ]

I am sick of both A-Rod and the incessant hate on A-Rod.

Deja when the news mentioned something about A-Fraud and new PED use, I turned the TV to another channel. I am tired of him too. I didn't know Youk went to the Yankees. Wish you guys would stop signing players I like. Just one more player I will have to dislike now. I loved when Youk came to the South Side. He was a breath of fresh air and instantly become a fan favorite and the media seemed to love him.

Maybe all this PDA usage (that is huge in Baseball) has to do with the fact that Baseball players are extremely overpaid..?? High salaries come with high expectations..
