two top free agent signings placed on waivers before spring training ends
currently in the middle spring training and i'm disappointed to have already seen two of the top free agent signings from this offseason placed on waivers.
both happened to be starting pitchers. one is signed to a 5-year deal, the other a 6-year deal. no one is claiming the players. so both teams have managed to start their pitchers off with poor morale (both are angry, understandably) and have them for many years to come. just another example of poor ai. i think we've all been playing ootp so long we're basically numb to this by now.

I've seen this happen with Scouts on. Here is my thought process. During free-agency they thought these players were better than they really were. When they actually have them on the roster they realized they had bad players. Is it an issue with scouting? Is it an issue with roster management AI? Probably both.
However, while I have seen it, I don't see it very often. I think you should open a defect and submit your league files so Markus can reproduce. |
