Tour de Lance gets ripped again

Leblanc predicts exciting Tour without Lance

Among the low lights...

"Without doubt ... what we have learned has increased the lassitude toward him," Leblanc said. "He was not irreproachable in '99. EPO is a doping product. So this tempers and dilutes his performances and his credibility as a champion."

Well that certainly improves my impression of LeBlanc.

If his intent was to come off as a whiny petty little slug, well bravo! Mission accomplished.

MLB has more than one most successful participant? Seems a contradiction in terms.

find the average Joe and they could probably name five guys that are big names in the game

find the average Joe and ask about some big names in the cycling profession and the list begins and ends at Armstrong

he's American...the bulk of the French hate him or have wanted a reason to hate him; They know no one in this country is going to give a damn now that hes retired and if they can appeal to the French again I highly doubt theyll give a damn about us since it takes place in France.

I would say that anyone following the sport would know he's full of ****......but I'm probably too optimistic.

Oh well, considering that without Lance the whole American market probably slowly eroads, although with BS like that it'll dispapear faster

hypethical number, you coudl go with one, five, ten whatever. Needless to say that the market for intrest in that sport in probably one of the largest consumer markets were largely due to intrest in Lances career.

I really want to see how many people give a crap about the Tour after next year. (Next year will have the "can the American in the field be the next Lance?" angle.)

I say not many will care. And if the French start their jingoistic crap, the interest will wane even faster.

I'm sorry, but the use of that idiom, in that way, is just hilarious.

Creed, it's chop of the nose despite the face. If you chopped off the head, there would be no more face.
