Can "Improve Team Stolen Bases" be removed as an owner goal?
This is the most ludicrous of the owner goals. I highly doubt that any owner actually cares enough about stolen bases to make it a point on which to judge a GM. Had a 99 win season, lost in NLCS end of the year my owner reviews the goals and his overall mood is dissatisfied and he's upset with my performance because I didn't improve team stolen bases. Team had 99 wins! Owners should not care about stats like stolen bases. Runs scored or runs against make sense because that's ultimately how games are won, but stolen bases? Is there any owner in real life that cares about stolen bases? Like I can tell my players to run more, increasing the stolen base total, but they're probably going to be thrown out more, costing the team runs, which is ultimately what matters. This being an owner goal just annoys the heck outta me

I don't think you can remove it, unless you turn off owner goals, but if you win 99 games and make the playoffs and he fires you because he's not happy with your team stolen base total, then I'd find another team to work for.

My thing about owner goals is when they tell you to find a team leader or a hometown player. Especially if you just won the world series. These are goals I just ignore.

Improve stolen bases is an infuriating goal, but it’s not as bad as defensive efficiency. That’s like asking to improve WAR.

an eccentric, entitled billionaire with unrealistic or profoundly stupid expectations? say it ain't so! a natural result of a life where someone doesn't hear the word "no" often enough - doubly so for those born into it.
