As a simmer and not a player, when I stop to look at the HoF bound player at the end of his career, will I be able look back and see all the storylines he has been a part of?

Yes (I have done a ton of testing on OOTP 13 storylines).

That's not funny in real life

If it doesn't happen too often why not. As long as you don't want a story line where the league players go on strike...

How quickly does a GM have to respond to a decision in a story line? If it is the same day that the story is generated, is there any work around for on-line leagues that typically sim a week at a time?

It happens though. Manny Ramirez?

Actually, I would enjoy that. The jockeying of players and owners has been a huge part of baseball history. It would be nice if you could turn on/off major storylines based on the history of the real game. World War II and moments when players and owners couldn't get together. Then for guys like me who like alternate history, maybe Ted Williams doesn't get drafted and stays in the states while some other player goes to WWII. Maybe the 1980-81 strike is averted when players and owners make a deal.

I like the idea of huge, entire 'universe' changing storylines.

Are there positive storylines as well?

Felix Hernandez starts a charity organization in Seattle. Fans like the things he does in the community so his popularity increases. Attendance on games he pitches increases and eventually overall attendance and fan interest goes up. Merchandising revenue increases.

I had that thought, just didn't put into words. Thanks for asking.

As I said, this new feature could be the most . . . engaging . . . enhancement in this game since Facegen. I tried to find the right word that relates more to immersion rather than excitement or satisfaction. I get excited over OOTPB when I win a championship, and a 50-year league history gives me great satisfaction. But it's the human interest that may have been a bit lacking up to now; storylines seem like they will do for the game what Facegen did in that regard, only much, much more.

Deadball era far and away my favorite. If you have the chance, check out the book I am talking about "Just a big Kid - The Life and Times of Rube Waddell"

Fascinating guy for sure.

Currently reading "Ed Delahanty in the Emerald Age of Baseball" another good one.

This sounds like a great feature, but I hope the text gets proofread a bit more before release. There is plenty of incorrect English even just in the few examples shown above and that would drive me crazy.

Now every version will improve this much and by OOTP 16 many people will spend their entire lives trying to build a true dynasty.

How about one where a talented shortstop gives the fans the finger and you have a choice of trading him imediately or taking a big hit to your team's intangibles?

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.
