Roster size - Dressed Players

So I started a historical league in 1980 and see that the dressed player limit was only 19 then instead of the 20 it is now, and was just wondering when this changed (I presume it was after one of the lockouts...)

I´m in the 1982-83 offseason now and still only 19 dressed players allowed

Huh, it automatically changed to 20 in my game, and I thought it was the 82-83 season but maybe it was the year after ....

I stopped playing when I ran out of money because of the whole extension/budget bug and don't recall exactly when the roster change happened now.
