iPhone/iPod/iPad Versions?
I know you would be dealing with a rather limited screen real estate but I wonder if any thought has been put into this? Especially with the thought of OOTP Online happening.
I recently saw Baseball Manager 2010 pop up on the AppStore, which I promptly bought. Haven't spent any time with it yet though to give any impressions but it made me think of this possibility of OOTP venturing this way immediately. Another thought would be OOTP transfered to XBLA, even possibly in the indie game section? |

I don't think they would have the resources to do this. It would be very hard for a two man team to make this and continue making OOTP for PC as well.

I was hoping that the ipad would come out and have the mac os so then I could play ootp on it but since it is using the iphone OS I will keep dreaming and hoping.
If you can post how that game is. I would be interested in getting it if it isn't to bad. |

Yes, it probably would be way too complicated to convert OOTP to iphone / ipad. Now perhaps a less complicated program would convert nicely. *cough* ITP *cough* If only we could think of one. *cough* ITP *cough* Hmmm?

I was seriously going to buy an iPad basically for OOTP if it ran OS X but with it running the iPhone OS, I am passing for sure.

I'm waiting for OOTP for Wii. I need the exercise of pretending to sit on my duff, clicking away.

Hi all
i'm macgufo from Italy and this is my first post in the forum. I think should be a "cool" option to have the possibility to import only a single game from OOTP on own mobile device, i-phone sound good to me , play it in p-t-p mode and then export the score in the league running on the desktop. |

Although it would be wonderful to have OOTP for the iPhone... it's would not be easy and the current 2 man team would not be able to do it without taking away from progress/support of the full on OOTP PC/MAC versions.
That said, it would be cool if a simplified version of OOTP were developed for the iPhone. One that allowed leagues to be imported and changes to be made for online leagues. Unfortunately, for it to be successful, it would have to incorporate actually playing and simming games, although it could (like I said) run very simplified games that kept track of FAR, FAR fewer stats. BUT I would buy it if it even couldn't play or sim any games... if it was just another way to view the results of an online league sim and export roster changes and such when on the road. I see this happening maybe just before hell freezes over, but it's a nice thought. |

iPhone/iPod/iPad Versions?
Is there anything in the works regarding OOTP on iPhone/iPod touch? How about an earlier version? That would be awesome.
Or, if nothing is forthcoming, does anyone have a recommendation for a current app? Thanks. |

I'm not even sure how OOTP would work on a tiny screen like an iPhone. My guess is that I wouldn't hold my breath on this one.

Markus has said no to making an ootp iPhone app. I believe it is because it would cost to much to make.
I downloaded the baseball manager 2010 for the iPhone but I haven't really tried it out much. If I could edit all the rosters then it might be a fun game. |

If only the ipad had gone with the mac os snow leopard instead of using the iPhone/itouch os instead. I would have loved to play ootp on the ipad.

I'm still trying to figure out if there actually is a significant niche between the iPhone and the laptop for the iPad to exist in. I guess time will tell.

It's a Kindle-killer. The main target audience is serious readers.

Suggestion: Port OOTP11 to iPad
I know there's probably no reason to do this, but I think OOTP11 should be ported to the iPad (when it releases) I would never have to buy another game for it if OOTP released.
Actually, it'd have to be tweaked a lot probably. OOTP has a lot of right clicks. Still. Just wanted to get the idea out there. |

Any prospect of an iphone/ipad/ipod app?
Any chance of a trimmed down version making its way as an Apple app?
I'd love to play me some OOTP while driving...I mean, sitting on a park bench? |

one of the big obstacles I see to an iPad app is that OOTP takes up a great deal of space and the iPad is limted on space.
the starter model of the iPad only has 16G and my OOTP directory has over 4G, with only one league in it.
